Seasonal Positions
Farmward Cooperative is seeking dependable candidates interested in joining our spring and fall seasonal crews. We have several seasonal opportunities available, including:
- Grain Elevator Operators (Fall)
- Grain Scale Operators (Fall)
- Custom Applicators (Fall)
- Pickup Truck Drivers
- Semi-Truck Drivers
Preference will be given to individuals with a stable work history, good driving record (for driving positions), and a strong work ethic.
Weather and seasonal demand will dictate schedules and length of employment. Spring positions typically run April through May, while fall positions generally run August through late November, unless otherwise stated. Candidates should be available to work long hours and weekends during peak seasonal periods.
Seasonal Opportunities
Grain Elevator Operator (Fall Seasonal)
Assist with grain receiving and handling operations, including dumping and loading trucks, loading railcars, sweeping bins, and performing routine maintenance and cleaning.
Grain Scale Operator (Fall Seasonal)
Operate grain scale systems, weigh and ticket inbound and outbound trucks, probe and grade grain, and communicate with Grain Marketing staff to ensure smooth operations.
Seasonal Custom Applicator (Fall Seasonal)
Operate application equipment for the safe and accurate application of crop nutrients and crop protection products to customer fields.
Semi-Truck Driver (Spring & Fall Seasonal)
Deliver dry crop nutrients to producers and wholesale customers.
- Required License: Class A CDL
Pickup Truck Driver (Spring & Fall Seasonal)
Deliver Crop Nurse Tanks and NHS Nutrients to customer fields.
- Required Licenses: Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements
Additional Information
- Competitive wages offered.
- Qualified drivers with all required licenses and endorsements earn competitive wages plus time-and-a-half for hours worked over 40 hours per week.
- Agronomy Positions are available from our Danube, Springfield, and Ghent locations.
- Grain Positions are available from our Clements, Comfrey, Morgan, Morton, Danube, Olivia, Renville, Springfield & Wood Lake locations.
Seasonal job offers are contingent upon candidate passing a pre-employment drug test and MVR background check.
